Jamie Morgan Kane has just announced his very own talk with Funzing after the success of our joint talk in London this November. Three dates have been set, in Brighton, Leeds and Manchester in February, and tickets can be found here. He will be talking about his incredible life story, and about how he ended up being incarcerated for 34 years for a crime he didn't commit. He'll be going into detail about his run-ins with the Aryan Brotherhood and how he managed to stay positive in the face of such adversity. It will be a truly fantastic evening so get your ticket now (makes a great last-minute Christmas present as well!).

Help raise £5000 for Jamie!

So far we've raised £270 for Jamie, who has been released and in London now for 9 months. As you'll recall from my podcast episodes, Jamie spent 34 years in California State prisons for a crime he didn't commit, yet is still a positive and life-affirming person. Due to being incarcerated for nearly all of his adult life, Jamie has very limited funds and is currently relying on the kindness of his friends for accommodation. I'm trying to get some money together so that he can figure out what he'd like to do for the rest of his life, in order for him to gain some much-needed stability. If you are able to contribute anything to helping Jamie, who is now nearly 65 years old, please follow the links to the donation pages:

I, and of course Jamie, hugely appreciate your donations!

Original London Gangster: Podcast 6 Dave Courtney

In my sixth podcast, I interview Dave Courtney, who controlled an army of over 1,000 bouncers, ran security at Ronnie Kray's funeral and once had his nose bitten off.

Two Tonys' Book Finally Published: The Mafia Philosopher

Finally, my book about Two Tonys is published and available worldwide on Amazon as a paperback and an ebook. Audio in approx 2 months.
“A fast-paced true-crime memoir with all of the action of Goodfellas” – UNILAD, Joseph Loftus
“Sopranos v Sons of Anarchy with an Alaskan-snow backdrop” – True Geordie Podcast
Breaking bones, burying bodies and planting bombs became second nature to Two Tonys while working for the Bonanno Crime Family, whose exploits inspired The Godfather.
After a dispute with an outlaw motorcycle club, Two Tonys left a trail of corpses from Arizona to Alaska. On the run, he was pursued by bikers and a neo-Nazi gang blood-thirsty for revenge, while a homicide detective launched a nationwide manhunt.
As the mist from his smoking gun fades, readers are left with an unexpected portrait of a stoic philosopher with a wealth of charm, a glorious turn of phrase and a fanatical devotion to his daughter.

An Email

Just received a nice email:
Dear Shaun,
I read your book, ''Hard Time''. It was an inspiration to me to keep on fighting. I have serious health problems, and I have reached a point where I have seriously considered suicide on many occasions. I have chronic pain, and doctors seem to have no way to heal me, or they flat out do not care. Regardless, thank you for sharing your experiences with me and making my pain a little less. I am now going to read ''Party Time'' and ''Prison Time''.
The best part of your book was the fact that you did not try to be politically correct, but shared what you were really feeling, instead of what others want to hear.
Once again, thanks for making my miserable condition better, even if it is only for a few hours!
